In an effort the contain the spread of Coranavirus (Covid-19) in the UAE, Sharjah Police has announced Traffic and Licensing Services Centre in Al Ramtha in Sharjah, Tasjeel Village and Motor Check will temporarily shut down according to sources.
Those who need to renew their vehicle registration and inspection checks will have to use smart services. They can be accessed via the Ministry of Interior and Sharjah Police apps.
But what about vehicle testing, that can’t be done via the phone or an application.
Here’s how you do it
Earlier today, we reached out to the Customer Happiness Centre in Sharjah via the phone (06-517-7555) to ask how to test the vehicle and how to get the passing paper.
According to the representative, car checks can be carried out in Dubai or Ajman test centres for vehicle renewal. The paperwork can be used to fulfil the requirements online.
As of writing, only registration centres in the Emirate of Sharjah have been temporarily closed. Dubai, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain centres are open.
The hotline mentioned above is available from 7 am to 5 pm.
