The Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta may be the last “mass” produced legendary prancing horse to roll out of the Italian stable until a new epic vehicle is launched. However, with this Ferrari patent’s surfacing online, could we see a one-off version?
Supposedly filed in August 2016, the Ferrari patent shows off a greyscale rendering of a Ferrari vehicle based off the LaFerrari with unique touches here and there.
For example, the front and back end are both unique with slim headlights and equally as compact one-piece rear lights.
As for the engine bay, they should be nothing short of a large 12-cylinder motor mounted in the rear powering the rear wheels with the additional hybrid system available. How much it produces though also remains a mystery.
Ferrari’s Special Project division or SP for short or no doubt behind this project and have produced incredible one-off Ferrari’s in the past including an F12tdf sourced SP275 RW Competizione and the J50 based on the 488 spider.
Usually, this one off models debut in reality rather than on the net and SP creations don’t tend to keep their vehicles a secret for extended periods of time. We’re thinking; the real thing should show up in the next few months.
While no price is known, we’d expect this model to cash in far beyond the asking price of the LaFerrari Aperta that checks in at around AED 12.5 million.
