It appears that not only is Nissan reinventing the 2017 Nissan Micra but at the same time, they are paying tribute to the outgoing model with a special edition version of the hatchback as well which is set to be revealed in full in the coming months in Brazil.
A single image of the Micra Midnight Edition has been released and is only of the left side of the vehicle, and that is just enough to see its unique features. This particular model openly embraces the red and black paint job pretty well.
Sporting a redesigned front end complete with unique lighting houses for the main and fog lights, a larger air intake that we can’t verify if it is real or fake, a set of black rims on each corner, side skirts and a black roof with blacked out pillars. It even has the brands V-Motion front grille.
No interior shots have spilled out, though. We expect it to remain identical to standard 2016 Nissan Micra with possibly a matching interior. Powering the front wheels is the standard motor, so for those looking for a hotter Micra will have to look elsewhere, the NISMO version can fill that void and yes that is a real thing.
No price tag is available nor is a solid release date. Seeing as the 2017 Micra is set to launch early next year, the Midnight Edition should roll out before then.
