Six special number plates celebrating Sheikh Zayed’s life to be auctioned off

Later this month, six unique Z licence plates will go up for auction with each celebrating the life of the late Sheikh Zayed. The Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will donate the proceeds from the sale to charity of which all have a connection to the late ruler.

The special six are part of 80 plates that will be auctioned off at the Year of Zayed open auction which will be held at the Hilton Al Habtoor City in Dubai on the 17th of November 2018.

Those interested in bidding on the plates must have a traffic file in Dubai and are required to deposit a AED 25,000 cheque (credit cards can also be used to pay the deposit) which will be returned if no successful bids have been made.

There is also an additional AED 120 subscription fee.

To register for the upcoming auction, you’ll have to visit the RTA website or take trip down to RTA customer service centres in Umm Al Ramool, Al Barsha, Deira or Al Tawar Municipality Centre. You can also register to bid in the auction on the day between 2 pm and 4:30 pm.

The six special number plates are listed below;
