Is your car registered in Dubai yet you live in another Emirate, and you don’t feel like driving all the way to Dubai to do all of the mandatory paperwork? Then you’ll love the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) latest plan.
The RTA has announced its Reach-out-to-customers plan.
Launched earlier this month, the new service offers several vehicle-related services that usually require customers to be present at an RTA facility no longer a thing as you can now have them come straight to your door.
Currently, residents with Dubai registered cars residing in Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah can now pay AED 350 to have someone come to their doorstep. Dubai residents can also do it at a fee of AED 300. All you have to do is contact the RTA’s partner, Tasjeel via the toll-free number 8003662.
By calling the number, vehicle owners can organise a date and time and will be informed of what documents are required.
Sultan Al Marzouqi, director of Vehicle Licensing at the RTA’s Licensing Agency explained that the new service “is intended to offer greater convenience to people by reaching out to them at their locations In Dubai or other Emirates.”
Al Marzouqi added that later on, the service will be available in other Emirates via other service providers along with Tasjeel.
Below is a list of services customers can utilise via the Reach-out-to-customers plan;
- Vehicle ownership.
- Transfer of vehicle ownership.
- Export of vehicles.
Tasjeel also offers a mobile vehicle inspection unit if required.
NOTE: The service can only be paid in cash.
