Radars in Dubai have been catching motorists violating the move restrictions during the National Sterilisation Programme. Drivers caught out on the roads between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am are fined if it is not an emergency, going to work or an essential trip.
As of Friday, the Abu Dhabi Police announced that radars in the capital will now flash anyone driving or riding around during the hours of 10 pm and 6 am.
Police will patrol the UAE’s capital to ensure the safety of the public and their commitment to the National Sterilisation programme restrictions.
The Abu Dhabi Police force stressed the need for the community to stay at home and to only leave the house in case of an emergency or to purchase essential items.
They also urged residents to continue to practice social distancing and continue to wear face masks and gloves when going outside.
As per the Attorney General, motorists caught driving around during the National Sterlisisation Programme hours will be fined AED 2,000.
