By recording lap times of 2:19:15 at the Dubai Autodrome and 2:31:79 at the Yas Marina circuit, the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid has rightfully earned the fastest lap times set by a luxury four-door hybrid saloon at the UAE’s top racetracks.
Setting the blistering times was Porsche Testing and Development driver Lars Kern. Starting with the Dubai Autodrome, a 5.39 km circuit with six unique configurations and moving on to the Yas Marina Circuit, a crucial part of the global Formula 1 championship. Both tracks also host rounds of Porsche’s very own GT3 Cup Challenge which draws talent not just internationally but regionally as well with the latest drivers champion; Al Faisal Al Zubair hailing from Muscat, Oman.
But UAE raceways is not the only place the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid has set track roads at the Bahrain International Circuit, Bahrain (1:59:96), Buddah, India (2:12:56), Kyalami, South Africa (1:59:08) and Losail International Circuit, Qatar (2:18:96).
About the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid
Power comes from a V8 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine and an electric motor; together they enable the saloon to launch from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 310 km/h.
Combining performance, comfort and efficiency, the model starts in E-Power mode and can traverse 50 kilometres on pure electricity while producing zero emissions.
Using a standard 3.6-kW charger, the high-voltage battery charges in six-hours. The optional 7.2-kW onboard charger combined with a 230-V connection with 32 A shortens the time to just 2.4 hours.
Dubicars.com has new Porsche Panamera and used Porsche Panamera for sale in Dubai and Sharjah.
