Since the middle of January, Audi Middle East reports that in only a few short weeks, they’ve already secured a quarter of 2018 allocation for the New Audi A8.
Prices start at AED 357,000 (including VAT) and AED 380,100 for the long-wheelbase model.
What’s the big fuss with the new Audi A8?
Entering a new generation, the A8 boasts a revolutionary design. A bold single frame front grille embraces the front end and is flanked by a new set of adaptive headlights. Its muscular body stretches towards the rear end where an elongated light bar illuminates the rear end.
Inside, the interior is simplistic yet technologically advanced at the same time. Drivers are treated to an extensive digital dashboard display and a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel while other occupants can cast their eyes on not one, but two touchscreen interfaces. Filled with all sorts of state-of-the-art options, drivers grip an aircraft-inspired gearshift lever, and an electronic brake takes over from the traditional handbrake.
Audi’s flagship model hides a 3.0-litre turbocharged direct injection V6 petrol engine rated at 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. Mated to an automatic gearbox, the new Audi A8 launches to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 250 km/h.
