Following in the footsteps of Project Basecamp (a heavily modified Nissan Titan), Nissan have revealed the Nissan Armada Mountain Patrol; the ideal partner for the desert.
The bespoke Mountian Patrol is fitted with a winch, auxiliary fog lights attached to the front bumper, windshield and roof, snorkel, side steps, roof rack and off-road ready front bumper. Around the back, the enhanced Patrol has a Hi-Lift jack, rear-mounted spare tyre, another winch, unique rear bumper and jerry cans. All of this is completed with a tent and awning which makes the model perfect for long trips to the desert, wadis etc. No shots of the exterior have been exposed.
Don’t get to attached as this may not be the final version.
Will the Nissan Armada Mountain Patrol see the light of day?
Currently, the model is a gorgeous rendering, and over the next few weeks, Nissan will take to their social media followers to seek out an eye-catching vinyl wrap, tyres and roof-mounted tent.
The Nissan Armada Mountain Patrol will be unveiled at the 2018 Overland Expo in May. After that, the model will travel to other outdoor events held in the US throughout the year.
Similar to the standard model, the Nissan Armada Mountian Patrol draws power from a 5.6-litre Endurance V8 rated at 390 horsepower. Paired with a seven-speed automatic gearbox, the off-road prepared SUV is 4WD and is capable of towing up to 3855 kgs.
