Dodge may have kept the next-gen Dodge Ram 1500 carefully covered to deter spy photographers nestled away in the windy city along with a few other updated FCA models. This may be the perfect time to say, right place at the right time.
Literally blowing the cover clean off, we can grasp a clear glimpse of the restyled front end flanked by newly designed headlights and a new muscular bonnet shielding the motor.
The rear tailgate appears to not be as cluttered as one would expect with newly detailed taillights side and a simple chrome boot release handle with what could be a rearview camera embedded into it.
There are a few holes visible when zoomed in leading us to believe there will be some form of RAM lettering once the model is ready to roll.
Unfortunately, the heavy winds couldn’t figure out how to open the doors leaving the interior a mystery.
Engines have yet to be confirmed, however, upon further inspection of the hood, a familiar 5.7-litre HEMI badge is evident signalling the mighty eight-cylinder bellows beneath. Expect the 3.6-litre V6 to return in lower trims with a potential turbocharger attached for an additional kick.
When to expect the Dodge Ram 1500?
Reports suggest this is the 2019 Dodge Ram 1500. You can expect a full reveal sometime next year with some sources indicating the new model could be put into production as early as January 2018. Stay tuned.
