Chinese EV manufacturer, XPeng Motors, in partnership with Gulf Star Motors, has launched the much-awaited electric SUVs in the UAE: the G6 and the G9. The launch event held at Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel on Sheikh Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, also marked XPeng’s debut in the country. Prices for the new SUVs start at around AED 165,000.

The XPeng G6 uses advanced EV technology centered on the SEPA 2.0 platform with 800-volt architecture, which supports ultra-fast charging.
XPeng G6 Exterior Design
The XPeng G6 boasts a sleek and futuristic design enhanced by Its coupe-like silhouette. At the front, the thin LED DRLs adorne the bold grille-free design. Much like the current trend, the SUV’s main headlamps are placed in the bumper.
The side profile is defined by flush door handles and muscular wheel arches, contributing to its sleek and refined appearance. XPeng has given the G6 coloured all-around body cladding adding to its modern appeal.
The rear of the G6 features a full-width LED light bar that mirrors the design language from the front, giving it a cohesive and high-tech look. The 20-inch alloy wheels look chunky and bold.

The XPeng G6 interior is designed with minimalism and high-tech functionality. It features a central touchscreen for most controls and a digital instrument cluster. The cabin uses premium materials like leather and soft-touch surfaces, with ample space for both front and rear passengers.
A panoramic glass roof enhances the spacious feel. The G6 includes ambient lighting, heated and ventilated seats, and XPILOT driver assistance features. The XPeng G9 uses 800-volt technology, enabling faster and more efficient charging. This system is combined with the car’s high-voltage Silicon Carbide (SiC) powertrain.

The G9 features similar exterior design cues as its smaller sibling, the G6. However, the G9 features a boxier silhouette to accommodate third-row passengers. The car has clean and smooth body lines that reduce drag and improve efficiency.
Its front end is highlighted by sharp LED headlights and a minimalist grille, giving it a futuristic look. At the rear, the G9 features a full-width light bar with slim taillights, complementing its contemporary style. Top-spec variants feature 21-inch alloy wheels that look fabulous on the SUV.
XPeng G9 Interiors
The XPeng G9’s interior is designed to provide a luxurious and technologically advanced experience. It features a minimalist, dual-screen layout that controls both infotainment and driving functions. This layout enhances usability and gives the dashboard a clean, modern look.
The cabin uses premium materials like leather and soft-touch surfaces, offering comfort and a high-end feel. The G9 includes spacious seating, with rear seats that fold to expand the trunk space from 660 litres to 1,576 litres.
Additionally, the G9 offers an immersive in-cabin experience through Dolby Atmos sound with seat vibrations, adjustable lighting, and air conditioning for a complete sensory experience. Moreover, the four-zone voice assistant allows passengers to control various functions from any seat.
