New Polestar 4 Launched In The UAE: Prices Start At AED 237,900

The Polestar 4 has officially arrived in the UAE, adding to the premium electric vehicle segment. The luxury crossover EV is available in three trims with impressive range numbers. Polestar also claims it is the brand’s fastest car yet.

Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, the official distributor for Polestar in the UAE, launched the car at an exclusive event held at the SEE Institute in Dubai. Here’s what you need to know about the impressive EV.

Pricing, Trims, Range & Specs:

The Polestar 4 is offered in three trims, each designed to suit specific driving needs, from maximum range to performance.

1. Long Range Single Motor

  • Price: AED 237,900
  • Range: 620km
  • Power: 272hp
  • Torque: 343Nm
  • 0-100km/h: 7.1 seconds

The single-motor option maximizes range, providing 620 kilometres per charge according to the WLTP cycle.

2. Long Range Dual Motor

  • Price: AED 282,900
  • Range: 590km
  • Power: 544hp
  • Torque: 686Nm
  • 0-100km/h: 3.8 seconds

This model adds all-wheel drive with a dual-motor system for better acceleration, and it gets a slightly reduced range at 590 kilometres on a full battery

3. Long Range Dual Motor Performance

  • Price: AED 299,900
  • Range: 590km
  • Power: 544hp
  • Torque: 686Nm
  • 0-100km/h: 3.8 seconds

The performance variant delivers the same range as the dual motor but offers more features as standard.

Design & Styling

The crossover SUV features a futuristic front end with a dual inverted headlamp setup. At first glance, it’s quite obvious that it is aerodynamically efficient – further substantiated by the 0.269 Cd coefficient of drag.

The sloping roofline leads to the rear which is quite unique. The Polestar 4 doesn’t have a rear windscreen to enhance aerodynamics and styling. Instead, it features a digital inner rearview mirror.

Interior

Minimalist yet futuristic is a statement that perfectly sums up the Polestar 4’s interior. It features a 15.4-inch touchscreen with a Google interface and Apple CarPlay. A 12-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system is standard while buyers can opt for a 16-speaker system too.

Polestar 4 Bookings & Deliveries In UAE

Bookings for the Polestar 4 are now open through Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, with deliveries anticipated to begin within two to three weeks. The launch color, Gold, is already sold out, though five other color options are still available.

Polestar 4 Competitors

The Polestar 4 enters a competitive EV market in the UAE, where several high-end electric SUVs vie for attention. Notable competitors include:

Tesla Model Y: Clearly the most popular car on this list, the Tesla Model Y is the second bestselling Tesla model. The Model Y is similar to the Polestar 4 in similar price and electric range and also comes with all-wheel drive options.

BMW iX: With a luxurious interior and advanced tech features, the BMW iX combines range and a premium driving experience, though it comes at a higher price point.

– Mercedes-Benz EQC: It offers strong performance, combined with the value that the three-pointed star brings. However, its range is slightly lower than the Polestar 4’s.

– Audi Q8 e-tron: Audi’s fully electric Q8 e-tron provides a refined, all-electric driving experience, with a range comparable to Polestar’s dual motor variants.

Polestar In The UAE

With its striking design, impressive range, and flexible trim options, the Polestar 4 is poised to make a strong mark in the UAE’s premium EV market. However, Al Futtaim and Polestar UAE have more plans in the pipeline — the Polestar 5 is set for a 2025 launch and Polestar 6 is set for a 2026 launch. So stay tuned for more updates on the same.
