Now in its third generation, the new Mercedes Sprinter has officially launched in the region. Designed for both commercial and business fleets, the new Sprinter can be tailored for each and every customer.
“We have celebrated huge success with this vehicle, having sold more than 3.4 million units of the Sprinter in over 130 markets across the globe,” explained Thomas Greipel, General Manager of Mercedes-Benz Vans Middle East and North Africa.
With a new model comes a wide range of upgrades. Base models come with standard safety equipment including Crosswind Assist and an electronic stability program.
Higher specification models can be had with high-quality materials and high-resolution touchscreens.
The latest MBUX infotainment system is also on the options list complete with touchpad controller to control the entire system.
Lower fuel consumption and reduced in-engine friction play a key role in the third generation Sprinter. Customers can choose between two four-cylinder diesel engine rated at 114 and 163 hp respectively.
A smooth running six-cylinder motor is available too with a 3.0-litre displacement, 190 hp and 440 Nm of torque.
For the first time, the 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic gearbox is also available in select markets.
Rear-wheel drive is standard in all regions providing more agile handling and a smaller turning circle. All-wheel drive is available in select markets and improves traction and allows the model to ride higher compared to the rear-wheel version.
