Lexus’s LC range is undoubtedly mouthwatering display. With its bold exterior and exquisite interior, it captured the hearts of many. However, there was one thing missing, a range-topping, fire-spitting variant. As of late, it appears one may be on the way as a Lexus “insider” claims there is a Lexus LC F on the way.
According to sources, the new Lexus LC F will house a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine pushing out a mega 621 horsepower. While no top speed numbers or 0-100 km/h figures have surfaced, Lexus’s current range-topping two-door coupe pushes out 471 horses.
With that said, the LC 500 launches from 0-100 km/h in five seconds before hitting a top speed. You can expect the LC F to be quicker in a straight line thanks to its increase in power.
Besides the additional power, sources indicate the Lexus LC F will weigh in seven percent lighter or 136 kgs than the current LC 500 all thanks to the heavy usage of carbon fibre reinforced plastic.
What about the Lexus LC F interior?
Little is known about the model beside its engine. As it is part of Toyota’s luxury division, nothing short of a unique combination of bespoke luxury and sporty prowess should fill the cabin along with numerous state-of-the-art safety options.
Sources further claim the new Lexus LC F will start at $176,000 or AED 646,448 and is expected to go on sale in 2019 across the globe.
We’ll hear more about the coupe next year before it’s inevitable launch.
