With the new Lamborghini Urus to be unveiled in just two weeks time, small details have started to leak out on to the net. Whether it’s a quick glance at the entire or a leaked image of what to expect, we’re excited to see how fast it is in a straight line.
A fortunate group of automotive journalists have already had a chance to tame the latest raging bull and have kindly informed the world.
Just how fast is the new Lamborghini Urus?
Driving a pre-production prototype, those on hand unleashed 650 horsepower and 849 Nm of torque thanks to a twin-turbo V8. Mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox driving each corner, the New Lamborghini Urus bolts to 100 km/h in less than 3.7 seconds with testing figures dropping below the 3.4-second mark!
That is incredibly quick for a machine that tips the scales at 1,995 kilos if not more. Not is it only ridiculously fast in a straight line, its top speed is said to be higher than 302 km/h, and supposedly, the new Lamborghini Urus can run a lap at Nardo just as quick as the Huracan!
Besides the V8, Lamborghini is reportedly working on a plug-in hybrid version of only their second SUV. According to sources, this version will utilise a V6 as well as an electric motor.
There is also talks of a possible lighter and more powerful version of the new Lamborghini Urus or as it is referred to at the moment; Urus Performante. This version will most likely churn out 700+ horsepower.
