BMW has revealed the new 2025 M4, and it’s more powerful and feature-packed than ever before. The new M4 is available in two body styles: coupe and convertible. Additionally, the 3L powertrain is available in three states of tune depending on the trim.
Engine & Transmission
All variants of the new BMW M4 are powered by a 3.0-litre inline-6 twin-scroll turbo-petrol engine. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic, depending on the variant.
The power is sent to the rear wheels as standard. However, the top-spec trim comes equipped with an all-wheel drive system for enhanced performance.
Performance Figures
Trim | Power | Torque | 0 to 96kmph |
M4 | 473hp | 550Nm | 4.1 seconds |
M4 Competition | 503hp | 650Nm | 3.8 seconds |
M4 Competition xDrive | 523hp | 650Nm | 3.4 seconds |
The top speed for all trims is electronically limited at 250km/h. This can be raised to 280km/h for the convertible and 290km/h for the coupe from the factory with the optional M Driver’s package.
Despite having a 20hp increase on the top-spec xDrive variant, neither the top speed nor the acceleration time is changed from the pre-facelift model.
Exterior Changes
BMW has revised the headlights on the new facelifted M4, which is now a standard feature across variants. Additionally, there is a new tail-lamp design that gets a new laser-accented design to give it a 3-dimensional effect.
Buyers can also opt for the optional M Design exterior graphics that feature a large stripe on the bonnet, and thin striping all around the car, finished in either black or red colour.
Interior Changes
The new 2025 BMW M4 continues to feature a driver-focussed cockpit design. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 14.9-inch infotainment have been carried over. However, these now run on the latest BMW 8.5 operating system.
The AI assistance for voice commands is also enhanced to conveniently control various features of the car. This includes climate control and seat heating functions; among others.
Price & UAE Launch
The new BMW M4 coupe is now priced at USD 80,095 (AED 294,184) for the base-spec trim and goes all up to USD 89,295 (AED 327,975). The BMW M4 convertible top-spec trim costs USD 96,295 (AED 353,686). BMW is expected to launch the new M4 sometime in the middle of 2024 in the UAE.
