After a showcase at the recent Guangzhou Motor Show, the MG ZS may be officially coming to the rest of the world in the next couple of months. However, it will be hitting UAE showrooms in late 2017.
Aimed towards the younger crowd, the MG ZS measures in smaller than GS models which are readily available by the way. MG GZ models certainly look the part as they are much more angular on the outside and feature London Eye inspired headlights.
MG have an extensive list of funky options including a rear view camera, panoramic sunroof, 8-inch LCD screen mounted in the centre console and an intelligent Internet System with unique log-in options. The latter is rather interesting as MG have said that this new system will “help the vehicle detect the driver and adapt to their desires”. Not only will it do that, but it also allows the driver to open operate the sunroof, navigation system, adjust the a/c and control the audio verbally. No need to press any buttons, just say the command and the vehicle does it. Plus there is the two-tone themed interior.
MG ZS models will be available with a selection of four-cylinder motors with either a 1-litre turbocharged engine rated at 125 horsepower or a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre one rated at 120 hp. These models are to target the Nissan Juke and Mazda CX-3 directly.
Prices of the upcoming model are to be revealed closer to the launch date next year.
We haven’t got any MG SUV/Crossover models available online right now. However, we do have used MG for sale in Dubai.
