Just when you thought the G-Wagen wasn’t desirable as enough as it is, the German manufacturer has announced not one, but two special edition G-Class cars.
The first special edition G-Class is available for the G63 and G65 and is called Exclusive Editions. Coated in AMG Monza Grey Magno, each model is fitted with a stainless steel under guard, colour matching spare wheel cover and AMG sport stripes on each side.
Each corner is equipped with slightly larger 21-inch alloys with the G63 models having light alloy rims and G65 sporting ceramic polished ones.
Inside, two-tone leather is available as standard to cover the seats and dashboard with six colour combinations available. Customers can upgrade to Designo Nappa leather with a three colour option as well as AMG Carbon or Black Designo Piano Lacquer trim, red seatbelts, two-tone performance steering wheel and seat comfort package.
In Germany, these models start from €163,125 or AED 655,012 for the G63 and €287,659 or AED 1,155,065 for the G65.
The other special edition G-Class is called Simply Edition and is available for the G500 and G350d. Three exterior colour options are on offer including Designo Magma Red, Obsidian Black and Designo Mystic White.
These models are equipped with 5-spoke AMG wheels adorning each corner, black leather seats with red stitching, AMG performance steering wheel, red seatbelts, black leather grab handles stitched to the roof liner, and a ‘Designo Manufaktur Editon’ badge stuck to the centre console.
These two models on home soil start at €109,879 or AED 441,220 for the 350d and €121,683 or AED 488,619 for the G500.
Seeing as how popular the base models are, it would come as an odd move not to launch these two special edition G-Class models in the GCC in the coming months.
