Launching just over a year ago, the Mercedes E-Class lineup receives new upgrades inside the cabin plus an upgraded voice recognition system to better understand speech patterns of its owners.
Now supporting eleven more languages, the Mercedes E-Class onboard computer responds with a less robotic voice when asked a question and can control a variety of features inside the cabin.
This includes the interior temperature, ventilated seats on top of the long list of lighting and comfort features that could already be controlled. Not only can you ask the system to do all that, but you can also request information about the current speed limit on the road and how much fuel is left in the tank in order to keep the driver focused on the road.
Select regions (most notably Europe) receive additional upgrades including an LTE connectivity hotspot and HD Voice technology which are both part of the Telephony Pack and costs 702.10 Euros or just under AED 3,000.
Plus there is the Audio 20 system which costs 1,011.50 Euros or AED 4,255 and adds a 12.3-inch infotainment system and new infotainment system.
Other additions include updated Nappa leather options, two wood trim finishes and upgraded ambient lighting system as well as additional USB ports for the rear and updated buttons for the steering wheel with audible feedback.
With some of these additions being exclusive to select markets, it’s only a matter of time before UAE residents benefit from WiFi hotspots and other comfort upgrades.
