Last year, Maybach revealed to the world a beautiful concept that stole the spotlight during a prestigious event. They are back again, this time with an ultra luxurious Maybach 6 Convertible that will no doubt be a huge crowd favourite.
Instead of using the identical shade of red paint from last years Maybach reveal, the Maybach 6 is coated in a beautiful hue of blue paint and is rather reminiscent of the previous model albeit one noticeable difference; its roof.
During the 40 second teaser, Maybach showcases the models extensively long hood that seems to stretch to an impossible length, large front wheel arches and ultra luxurious interior infused with state-of-the-art technology.
As the short video progresses through the cabin, eagle-eyed viewers will immediately notice similarities to the Maybach 6 Concept as the exact steering wheel and dashboard cluster is evident.
With this in mind, an identical powertrain hides underneath. Consisting of four magnet synchronous electric motors paired with an 80 kWh battery, 750 horsepower pumps through its veins. This should allow the 6-metre long luxury drop top to launch to 100 km/h in a quick four seconds.
The Maybach 6 Cabriolet is destined for its global debut at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, an event synonymous with the ultimate luxury vehicles from around the world.
Keep the 17th of August 2017 free as not only will this model be on show, BMW is expected to showcase a roadster of their own. Infiniti is also said to be in attendance with a retro inspired concept.
