Officially launched earlier this year at the Geneva Motor International Motor Show, after a few months, Maserati GranTurismo Special Edition models have made their way to UAE dealerships.
With 400 units available around the world, just three are being sold to UAE customers with one piece setting you back AED 510,000.
Included in that price tag you get carbon ceramic brakes with red calipers, exclusive centre locking caps celebrating 60 years of Maserati, carbon fibre hood with a moulded air intake plus a unique plaque inside the vehicle symbolise which one of the 400 models you are planning to buy.
You also get a Rosso Italiano three-layer coat of paint and 20-inch alloys adorning each corner wrapped in performance rubber. Inside wrapping the seats and cabin is a mix of Alcantara and premium leather.
There are no power changes to the V8 motor powering the rear wheels. Rated at over 400 horsepower, it still packs quite a punch with the six-speed automatic gearbox propelling the sleek two-door to a top speed of 300 km/h and to 100 in a respectable 4.5 seconds.
The model pays tribute to two special occasions that remain close to Maserati. In 1957, Juan Manuel Fangio won the Formula One World Championship behind the wheel of a Maserati 250F, and they launched the 3500 GT which was the brand’s first real commercial success.
Side note: Maserati is taking their sweet time to update the model as the Maserati GranTurismo has pretty much liked the same since 2007.
Dubicars.com has used Maserati GranTurismo for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
