M Performance kits confirmed for 2017 5-Series

In a move no one ever saw coming, BMW has taken the time to announce upgraded M Kits for the upcoming 2017 5-Series.

Select models only receive changes that the eye can see, whereas other vehicles receive much more than that. For example, the 540i model receives a  boost in regards to horsepower. 34 additional horsepower now pumps its way through the sports exhaust system from the 3-litre six-cylinder petrol motor. 360 hp is the exact amount along with 500 Nm of torque makes this vehicle quite desirable.

Visual modifications consist of a unique front and back end plus mirror caps all of which are finalised in carbon fibre. Blacked out versions of these parts are available to complement the darkened double kidney grille. A set of 20-inch rims plus exclusive M Performance markings are part of the complete package.

Those planning to buy a diesel version can enjoy the optional BMW M Performance exhaust system on their 2017 5-series with Active Sound allowing drivers to alter the sound of the engine.

Petrol models receive a stainless steel exhaust system that is available with either circular or squared-off exhaust tips poking out the rear end. Depending on what engine is underneath the bonnet, carbon fibre or chrome finish appears at each end.

Inside, each model benefits from a sports steering wheel covered in Alcantara with light grey cross stitching and a red stripe at the very top.
