Lincoln reveals 2018 Navigator in NY

The SUV market continues to gather momentum and it’s up to manufacturers to keep their models fresh and one better than the competition. The 2018 Navigator is here and it truly is one to look out for.

On top of the updated interior, 2018 Navigator’s are filled with top class features. Just to name a few; cooled front seats, memory seats and SYNC 3 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It can also be fitted with a rear entertainment system complete with adjustable 10-inch screens, 20-speaker Revel Ultima premium sound system and a WiFi hotspot.

Othe key highlights include adaptive cruise control, 360-degree camera, six USB ports and optional wireless phone charger and heads-up display.

Exterior wise, 2018 Navigator’s follow in the footsteps of the Continental sedan without the wacky door handles. It also incorporates the brand’s new lighting technology with front lights highlighted by not one but two LED strips and two xenon bulbs.

It’s not just a fancy look the lights give off; they are truly intelligent. At lower speeds, the lighting radius enlarges for increased invisibility. When pressure is increased on the accelerator, the light beam narrows to reduce glare reflected from road signs and other objects.

Although the 2018 Navigator stays true to last years concept, unfortunately, the rear gullwing doors did not make it to the final production model.

Similarly to Ford vehicles, 2018 Navigator SUV’s are constructed from lightweight aluminium that results in 90-kilo weight reduction.

Power is drawn from a twin-turbocharged V6 rated at 450 horsepower and is mated to Ford’s new 10-speed automatic gearbox controlling all four wheels.
