Lamborghini has finally revealed the new Temerario supercar to replace the Huracan at the 2024 Monterary Car Week. It is the second model from Lamborghini to be powered by a plug-in hybrid engine. The Lamborghini Temerario will be launched in the second half of 2025. Here’s what we know about the new supercar.
Exterior Design
The Lamborghini Temerario’s design draws clear inspiration from the Huracan and Gallardo, with subtle nods to the Revuelto. Its fascia features slim, swept-back LED headlamps, hexagon-shaped daytime running lamps, and a sharper bumper with carbon fibre elements.
Hexagonal motifs dominate the design, seen in the air intakes, tail lights, and alloy wheels. The profile showcases classic supercar lines, with a new aerodynamic vent ahead of the rear wheels. The rear is marked by a perforated engine bay, concave roof, and exposed rear wheels, enhancing its aerodynamic efficiency by 103 per cent over the Huracán Evo.
Interior & Technology
The Temerario’s interior closely resembles the Revuelto, featuring Lamborghini’s signature fighter jet-inspired cockpit. It includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8.4-inch central floating display, and a slim 9.1-inch passenger display, all adorned with hexagonal motifs. The centre console retains physical switchgear for key functions, alongside a fighter jet-style push start/stop button.
The new chassis offers enhanced comfort with more headroom and legroom, accommodating drivers up to 6ft 5in. Standard features include heated and ventilated 18-way adjustable seats, onboard telemetry, a dashcam, augmented reality navigation, and increased luggage space compared to the Huracan.
Hybrid Engine & Transmission
- Engine: 4.0-litre V8 Twin-Turbo
- Gearbox: 8-speed DCT
- Three Electric Motors
- Battery: 3.8kWh
- Max Power: 920hp
- Peak Torque: 800Nm
- 0 to 100kmph: 2.7 seconds
- Top Speed: 343km/h
- Expected Pure-Electric Range: 16KM
The Temerario, Lamborghini’s first with drift mode, offers all-wheel drive and several drive modes: Citta (FWD, fully electric), Strada, and Corsa.
This setup, featuring a hot-V layout, allows the engine to produce 800hp and rev up to 10,000rpm, making it the most powerful V8 in a production car. The 3.8kWh battery can be charged in 30 minutes using an AC port or via regenerative braking and the V8 engine.
Chassis & Aerodynamics
Lamborghini’s Temerario replaces the Huracan’s carbon fibre and aluminium build with an all-aluminium spaceframe, boosting torsional rigidity by 20%. Despite its hefty 1715kg dry weight, the track-focused Alleggerita package trims it to 1690kg with carbon fibre enhancements, including a rear wing and rims.
Much like other Lambos, the new supercar also is equipped with the Lamborghini Magneride adjustable suspension. It also features 410mm front and 390mm rear aluminium disc brakes, with Lamborghini claiming a 100kph-0 stopping distance of just 32 meters.
Lamborghini Temerario In The UAE
The new Lamborghini Temerario is expected to launch in the UAE next year and could be priced at around AED 1.1 million. The Temerario rivals the Ferrari 296 GTB, McLaren Artura, and Porsche 911 Turbo S; among others.
