The Koenigsegg Jesko’s name is a tribute to the company founder’s father, Jesko von Koenigsegg, who played a key role in fostering his son’s passion for cars.
Jesko Debut
Unveiled in 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show, the Koenigsegg Jesko stole the spotlight. This marked the debut of the successor to the Agera and a testament to Koenigsegg’s relentless pursuit of automotive excellence.
Koenigsegg Jesko Variants
There are two variations of the car, the Jesko Absolut with low-drag configuration and the Jesko Attack catering to high-downforce.
Difference Between Jesko Attack & Jesko Absolut
The Jesko Attack is a track-focused monster, prioritising downforce for razor-sharp handling and cornering ability. With a large rear wing and a prominent front splitter with winglets.
In contrast, the Jesko Absolut, nicknamed “The Absolut Speed Machine”. It replaces the Attack’s aggressive downforce elements with smaller fins and a smoother underbody, even featuring a slightly elongated longtail design. The Absolut doesn’t have the “Triplex” damper system, freeing up space in the front for storing the Targa roof, unlike the Attack.

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut hypercar holds four world records by achieving a top speed of 412km/h. Here are the details:

Light Speed Transmission
The Koenigsegg Light Speed Transmission (LST), or Light Speed Tourbillon Transmission (LSTT) in the Jesko Absolut, rewrites the rulebook on gear changes. This 9-speed marvel ditches traditional synchronisers and selector forks for a lightweight (90kg) multi-clutch system (7 for gears, 1 for the differential in the LSTT).
These clutches open and close simultaneously, enabling lightning-fast gear changes with minimal power loss. The LST even features “Ultimate Power on Demand” (UPOD), which pre-selects the optimal gear based on driver input and road conditions for maximum acceleration. It is known to be the world’s fastest gearbox in a production car.
Chassis & Construction
At the core of the Jesko lies a lightweight and ultra-rigid carbon fibre monocoque. This one-piece tub forms the foundation of the car, providing exceptional strength and torsional rigidity.
Staying true to Koenigsegg’s philosophy, the Jesko prioritizes lightweight materials throughout its construction. This not only reduces overall weight but also improves agility and handling.
Suspension
- The foundation of Jesko’s suspension is a traditional double wishbone setup at both the front and rear.
- The hypercar boasts electronically adjustable gas-hydraulic shock absorbers, utilising a pushrod-operated damper system.
- The Jesko Attack, geared towards track dominance, features lightweight carbon fibre upper wishbones in the rear suspension.
- A key feature of the Jesko Attack’s suspension is Koenigsegg’s innovative Triplex system. This system incorporates a third, horizontal damper at the rear.
- The Jesko Absolut, designed for maximum speed, forgoes the front Triplex damper for slightly more space and a smoother underbody to minimise drag.

Jesko Attack:
- Massive rear wing for high-speed cornering grip.

Active Rear-Wheel Steering
The Koenigsegg Jesko marks a turning point for the brand, being the first production Koenigsegg to incorporate active rear-wheel steering technology.
Wheels
Koenigsegg equips the Jesko with lightweight forged aluminium 20-inch and 21-inch wheels at the front and rear, respectively. The wheels feature a centre locking mechanism for a secure connection between the wheel and the hub. Koenigsegg also offers an optional upgrade to lightweight and incredibly strong carbon fibre wheels called Koenigsegg Aircore.
Interiors
Koenigsegg doesn’t skimp on interior quality. The Jesko uses Alcantara, a high-end suede-like material, extensively throughout the cabin, often paired with carbon fibre accents for a lightweight, techy feel.
Though a track car, the Jesko offers unexpected amenities. There are cup holders, a central storage compartment with an armrest, and an air conditioning system to keep you cool on those intense laps.
Cabin Space
Compared to the Agera, the Jesko’s monocoque is 40mm longer and 22mm higher, offering increased cabin space and improved legroom and headroom for the driver and passenger.
Instrument Cluster
The 5-inch instrument cluster display is integrated into the steering wheel and adjusts with it, ensuring it’s always in your line of sight.
Infotainment
The main infotainment touchscreen’s 9-inch display controls functions like climate control and audio system. It also integrates with Apple CarPlay for smartphone connectivity.
SmartWheel
Two small touchscreens are embedded within the steering wheel spokes. These offer quick access to commonly used features like phone calls, audio controls, and even the car’s ride height adjustment system. The haptic feedback in these screens allows for easy use without needing to take your eyes off the road
Parking Assistance
The Jesko offers some aid for parking manoeuvres, including front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, and a “bird’s eye view” parking assistance system that provides a panoramic view around the car.
Limited Production
Koenigsegg only plans to build a total of 125 Jesko units. Incredibly, all 125 build slots for the Jesko were sold out even before the car’s official unveiling. Deliveries for the Jesko began in June 2023.
Koenigsegg Jesko Price
Although the exact figures are not officially revealed by Koenigsegg, the Jesko Attack is priced at over USD 3 million, which roughly translates to around AED 11 million. While the Jesko Absolut could cost around AED 13 million.
