2018 Kia Stinger V6 models are set to go on sale this December. While still two months away, Kia has released a massive gallery for us to salivate over before it hits the market.
2018 Stinger’s will be available with two engines. Entry level models benefit from a turbo 2.0-litre petrol motor pushing out 255 horsepower which allows the vehicle to sprint to 100 km/h in a respectable five seconds.
Stinger V6 cars will play host to a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 rated at 365 horsepower resulting a top speed of 269 km/h and a 0-100 time of 4.7 seconds.
Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox driving the rear wheels. Additionally, Kia will offer an all-wheel drive model with Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control.
Underneath the sleek exterior, Kia has installed McPherson front and five-link rear suspension system. Base models ride on a passive suspension whereas GT models have an electronically controlled system with active dampers.
Riding on a 290 cm long wheelbase, the 2018 Kia Stinger is actually longer compared to its rivals; Lexus GS, Infiniti Q50, Lexus IS, Audi A5 Sportback and BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe.
Kia claims that their Stinger boasts more interior space compared to the equivelent BMW 6-Series! Quite a bold claim if you ask us.
When can you buy one and how much does the Stinger V6 cost?
Kia has yet to reveal prices for the Stinger or it’s straight four sibling. Expect an announcement in the coming months, stay tuned!
