Jaguar isn’t ready to update the F-Type in 2018. Instead, the British brand has opted to add new features and two new versions of the elegant sports car.
While there is a light revision to its exterior with full LED headlights and a set of new bumpers depending on trim and variant, Jaguar have added an updated touch infotainment system with faster load times, real-time traffic updates and sharper resolution.
On top of that, Jaguar and GoPro have come together to produce an app known as ReRun. By syncing up with a GoPro, the app stitches together video footage with real-time telemetry date including speed, throttle, gear, g-force and braking.
F-Type models can also be had with chrome or aluminium trim, a new selection of colour palettes and lightweight seats. All for the interior of course.
Adding to the 2018 updates, Jaguar revealed the 400 sport version with you guessed it is rated at 394 horsepower or 400PS. Powered by a 3-litre supercharged V6 petrol motor, this model is said to be available in 2018 trim only and features an upgraded chassis, enhanced brakes and 20-inch dark satin grey 20-inch rims mounted on each corner.
On top of that, an R-Dynamic version also joins the ranks. Using the V6 motor too, this model pumps out 335 and 375 hp and adds driver assist systems including auto-park assistance.
As for the rest of the F-Type lineup, both the coupe can convertible can be had with a V6 or V8 motor with the latter being available solely with all-wheel drive while the six-cylinder engine is available with rear and all-wheel drive.
Pricing for the 2018 F-Type haven’t been revealed as of writing neither has a release date. In the meantime, we’ve got new Jaguar F-Type and used Jaguar F-Type for sale in Dubai and Sharjah.
