After much success at not one but two motor shows across the globe, the Jaguar I-Pace has taken to the streets of London to prove it’s not just a work of art but a fully functioning all-electric vehicle ready to spice up the electric market.
Jaguar I-Pace crossovers are to start production by the end of 2017 and will be made available around the world in 2018. Upon launch, the British brand will have their eyes firmly set on the Tesla Model X and other electric SUV’s that are destiend to roll out in the next few years.
With it’s all electrical power plant, the Jaguar I-Pace generates around 394 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque thanks to a pair of electric motors mounted on the front and rear axles. With their powers combined, 0-100 is attainable in 4.1 seconds which is 0.9 seconds quicker than the current F-Pace.
Jaguars all-electric vehicle has an estimated range of 500 kilometres on a single charge. Charging the 90 kWh lithium-ion battery to 80 percent is said to take just 90 minutes using the 50 kW DC charger.
Do they have enough to take on those rear falcon doors? We’ll have to wait and see. Jaguar has yet to confirm a price tag for the all-electric vehicle.
Not only did the Jaguar I-Pace take a tour of England’s capital, but it also showed off its smooth curves in a photo shoot.
Until the car rolls out sometime next year, we’ve got new Jaguar and used Jaguar for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
