How to pay for parking by SMS in Dubai
To pay for parking in Dubai, simply send an SMS to 7275 (PARK) of the following:
- The letter code and corresponding 1-5 digits on your plate.
- Press space and enter the area code (consists of three numbers and one letter).
- Hit space again and enter how many hours your car will be parked for. (Must be 1-4. No area allows more than 4 hours at any given time.)
The end result should look something like this: A00000 123A 2
Once the SMS has been sent, an automated text message will be sent to your phone before the parking time expires.
How to do mobile parking in Dubai for non-Dubai vehicles
Vehicles registered outside of the UAE can use the Roads and Transports Authority’s (RTA) mobile parking payment system without having to first register for the service.
“These services are aimed at simplifying the payment of parking fees via SMS. The upgrade also includes notifying customers requesting the service during public holidays that the parking is free to use during the holiday,” explained Maitha Bin Adai, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency, RTA.
The notification system is also helpful for Dubai residents, especially for those who pay without realising parking is free on Fridays and holidays.

Just like if you’re driving a vehicle with a Dubai license plate, follow the steps above to send an SMS to 7275 (PARK). The only difference will be the Emirate/country code at the beginning of your SMS, which varies from location to location as per the table below:
