Late last month, Honda UAE officially launched the Honda HR-V. Set to go on sale in the coming weeks, this is the first time the compact crossover has been made available in the region.
Revealed in Abu Dhabi, the five-seater crossover enters a highly competitive segment in the region with the likes of Nissan’s Kicks and Mazda’s CX-3 being the most popular CUV’s currently available.
More are expected to enter the MENA region or are readily available in the market including the Hyundai Kona.
The latest Honda to enter the market draws power from a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine rated at 140 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a CVT.
Prices start at AED 69,900 for the entry-level DX trim, AED 76,900 for the mid-range LX and AED 86,900 for the range-topping EX.
All three trim levels of the Honda HR-V will be available across showrooms in the region by the end of the month.
More than just the Honda MR-V
Alongside the MR-V, Honda UAE also unveiled 2019 versions of the mid-sized CR-V SUV and the flagship Pilot SUV.
Starting with the latter, the Pilot gets a hands-free power tailgate, a host of upgrades to the available connected-car technology and a new Pilot Touring grade.
Going back to the CR-V, updates to the fifth generation model include a power tailgate and a range of tech.
