HOF Collection 1 World Premiere In Dubai At Pupil Of Fate Motors

HOF Manufaktur has set a new benchmark in the world of exclusive automotive craftsmanship with the launch of its HOF Collection 1 — a limited series of highly modified Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs. The world premiere of the HOF Collection 1 took place at Pupil Of Fate Motors in Dubai, the perfect location for such an exclusive showcase.

Three highly customized G-Wagens were unveiled at the event, leaving enthusiasts and collectors in awe. Each of these builds reflects meticulous attention to detail, impressive engineering, and a clear narrative. The crown jewel of the collection is the HOF Sir Class, a tribute to motorsport royalty Lewis Hamilton, while the HOF 1955 and HOF Rebel showcase racing heritage and bold rebellion, respectively.

The HOF Way

Unlike most tuning companies that focus on excessive body kits and outrageous designs, HOF takes a different approach. The German marque has kept it classy, staying close to the G-Wagen’s iconic design & performance while infusing each car with a unique story. The result? A collection that celebrates legacy, motorsport, and audacity.

HOF Sir Class: A Tribute to Lewis Hamilton’s Dominance

The flagship of the HOF Collection 1 is the HOF Sir Class — the most powerful and fastest G-Wagen ever created. First revealed on December 4th, on the sidelines of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the debut was particularly significant. The 2024 Abu Dhabi GP marked Lewis Hamilton’s final race with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team before his much-anticipated move to Ferrari in 2025.

HOF Sir Class

As a tribute to Hamilton’s 12 legendary years with Mercedes, HOF Sir Class commemorates the most successful driver-constructor partnership in Formula 1 history.

Celebrating Lewis Hamilton’s Legacy

To honor Hamilton’s achievements, the HOF Sir Class incorporates design elements that reflect his unparalleled journey with Mercedes:

  • 12 Seasons
  • 6 World Driver’s Championships
  • 78 Pole Positions
  • 84 Wins
  • 153 Podiums
  • 55 Fastest Laps

Design & Interior

The exterior of the Sir Class draws heavy inspiration from Mercedes-AMG F1 cars. The bespoke paint job features a dramatic gradient from silver to black, paying homage to Mercedes’ Silver Arrows. Petronas blue accents on the wheels, mirrors, and footboards complement this. The SUV also rides 30mm lower than a standard G63 AMG, slightly enhancing aerodynamics.

Inside, HOF continues the F1 theme with a steering wheel design that mimics the steering wheel of an F1 car. Petronas blue highlights carry through to the cabin as well. The luxurious standard seats have been replaced with sporty bucket seats wrapped in premium leather. An outline of Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit is stitched into the headliner — symbolic of Lewis Hamilton’s final race with Mercedes.

Engine & Performance

Underneath the hood is where the HOF Sir Class truly shines. HOF’s engineers have reworked the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 to produce a staggering 1,063hp, making it the most powerful G-Class ever built. Achieving this feat required a host of upgrades, including but not limited to:

  • Aluminium pistons
  • Stronger connecting rods
  • Custom turbochargers with different geometry
  • Upgraded fueling system
  • Aluminium air intakes
  • Custom exhaust system

With these modifications, the Sir Class delivers mind-blowing performance: 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds and a top speed exceeding 300 km/h — an astonishing figure for an SUV of this stature. Not-so-subtle reminders of its power — the number ‘1063,’ are found on the grille, door sills, headrests, and rear end.

Exclusivity

Only 10 units of the HOF Sir Class will be produced. In a conversation with DubiCars, Ferdinand Peter, the MD OF HOF Manufaktur revealed that despite its exclusivity, 45 serious buyers had already expressed interest, effectively selling out the entire production run.

HOF 1955: A Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss

The second member of the HOF Collection 1 is the HOF 1955 — a tribute to motorsport legend Sir Stirling Moss and his iconic victory at the 1955 Mille Miglia. At the wheel of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR alongside co-driver Denis Jenkinson, Moss secured one of motorsport’s most celebrated wins.

HOF 1955

Design & Inspiration

The HOF 1955 mirrors the legendary Mercedes 300 SLR, featuring a stunning silver exterior with the iconic 722 racing number prominently displayed on the hood, sides, and rear. This number reflects the start time of Moss’s Mille Miglia run (7:22 AM) and remains a timeless symbol of racing heritage. The number 722 also inspired the creation of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition.

HOF 1955

HOF has incorporated several carbon fibre elements, 24-inch forged wheels, and electric running boards. The cabin of the HOF 1955 is the most exquisite we’ve seen in a modern SUV. The leather seats and a classic tartan fabric pattern evoke memories of vintage racing cars. The steering wheel, adorned with wooden inlays, adds a further nod to old-school motorsport elegance.

Engine & Performance

HOF engineers ensured the HOF 1955 delivers incredible performance. Inspired by the number ‘722,’ the engine has been tuned to produce exactly 722hp. This combination of performance and storytelling makes the HOF 1955 a true collector’s item. Like the Sir Class, only 10 units of the HOF 1955 will be made. Given the overwhelming response at its premiere, all units are expected to sell out swiftly.

HOF Rebel: Bold & Electrifying

Completing the HOF Collection 1 is the HOF Rebel — an electrified G-Wagen that defies convention with its bold design and extreme personality. In a world where electric vehicles often embrace subtlety, the HOF Rebel flips the script with an unapologetically loud and rebellious aesthetic.

HOF Rebel

Design & Styling

The HOF Rebel features a striking camouflage design that immediately sets it apart. The aggressive look is further accentuated by a carbon fibre bonnet and grille, 24-inch forged alloy wheels, and prominent H65 electrified badging.

HOF Rebel Interior

Inside, the cabin carries the same bold theme, with camouflage-pattern seat inlays, carbon fibre steering wheel accents, and a stunning starlight ceiling. For added practicality, the HOF Rebel also features 90-degree opening doors.

Performance & Capability

While the HOF Rebel retains much of the G-Class EV’s mechanical underpinnings, HOF has equipped it with larger brakes to improve stopping power. Each wheel is powered by an independent electric motor, allowing for advanced torque vectoring and even a tank turn — or as Mercedes calls it, a G-Turn.

The electric powertrain delivers a combined output of 579hp and 1,165Nm, drawing energy from a massive 116kWh battery pack. This setup ensures that the HOF Rebel remains a formidable off-roader while embracing the future of electric mobility.

Limited Production

Like its siblings, the HOF Rebel is limited to 10 units, and given its unique design and capabilities, it garnered immense attention at the premiere. Collectors are already vying for ownership, ensuring another sell-out success for HOF Manufaktur.

The HOF Collection 1 In Dubai

With the HOF Collection 1, HOF Manufaktur has redefined what’s possible with the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. HOF has created three masterpieces that cater to both purists and collectors. Whether it’s the Hamilton-inspired Sir Class, the Stirling Moss tribute HOF 1955, or the electrified HOF Rebel, each vehicle is representative of HOF’s skilled design & engineering.

HOF Collection 1

The world premiere at Pupil Of Fate Motors – one of Dubai’s most iconic luxury car dealerships – was a resounding success. The cars are expected to be displayed at Pupil Of Fate Motors for a few days later in December 2024 or early in 2025.
