On show late last year at the prestigious Dubai International Motor Show, the Genesis G70 has made its way to the Middle Eastern market.
Joining the larger G90 and mid-sized G80 and G80 Sport, the Genesis G70 serves as the entry-level Genesis model but that doesn’t mean it lacks style. With a long bonnet, flowing roofline and bright alloy rims, the G70 holds its own in such a competitive category.
The Genesis G70 can be had with either a Lambda II 3.3-litre V6 petrol engine or a Theta 2.0-litre turbocharged GDI engine. The former of the two pushes out 365 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque to the rear axle allowing the luxury saloon to launch from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 270 km/h. The GDI unit produces 249 horsepower and 353 Nm of torque. Presumably, both are available with rear-wheel drive as standard and an optional all-wheel-drive system. Both will also be fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Nothing short in terms of options for the Genesis G70
Inside, the luxurious South Korean saloon is packed with key features including an 8-inch infotainment system with MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with a multi-view camera, 15-speaker Lexicon sound system, wireless charging pad and an optional heads-up display. It also receives the latest safety options including Blind Spot Collision Warning, Driver Awareness Warning, seven airbags and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist.
