Every year, Ford tend to auction off a custom Mustang for the annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh event. This year, they decided to swap out a Mustang for an F22 inspired Ford Raptor Pickup.
Coated in grey paint with dark grey stripes and red highlights which distinctly matches the Lockheed F22 Raptor Fighter Jet, this one-of-a-kind Raptor pickup boasts an exterior fog light bar mounted above the windshield, carbon fibre wheel arches, black and red highlighted rims and a unique front grille.
We not talking about a slight redesign front end, this Raptor’s grille has part of a Raptor Jet sticking out to complete the connection.
Now for the juicy part. Lift the bonnet of this one-off Ford Raptor, and you’ll find the standard 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 petrol motor powering each corner with a few additions to generate a healthy 545 horsepower.
These include various engine enhancements hidden from plain view, a Whipple Intercooler and a few tweaks here and there from Ford Performance Engineers.
While Ford hasn’t opened the doors to the cabin, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear the cockpit matches the exterior with dark seats and cabin finishes with red highlights and F22 stitching in various locations. Another scale model of an F22 Raptor would fit in nicely, but that could be wishful thinking. Maybe a cross section sticking out of the central column.
This one-off 2017 Ford Raptor will be auctioned off on the 27th of July.
Dubicars.com has new Ford Raptor and used Ford Raptor for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
