The Ferrari F12M may be the last of its kind. However, the prancing horse has lifted the wraps off a new supercar to join the ranks, the Ferrari 812 Superfast.
To power the new model, Ferrari has created a larger 6.5-litre V12 engine with not super or turbocharged induction in site. Pushing 789 horsepower to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
The 812 Superfast lives true to its name by accelerating from standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and cruising at a top speed of 340 km/h.
Electric Power Steering will make its Ferrari debut alongside Slide Slip Control and an updated version of their Virtual Short Wheelbase system borrowed from the F12tdf to aid the vehicle’s cornering abilities and responsiveness.
New body panels cover the 812’s exterior to mask the acquired F12 platform which evidently is still visible, but there are new pieces of kit to set the vehicle apart.
Rear spoiler shades the double light setup on either side encased in the new rear end, with the front end adopting a new headlight design, massive front grille and larger hood with extra cuts to suck in additional air.
812 Superfast models retain a similar cabin to the F12.
With Geneva Motor Show just around the corner, we expect the 812 Superfast to shine brightly alongside other Ferrari models, Mercedes-Maybach’s G650 and the unknown Eadon Green vehicle.
