Celebrating one of the most dominant victories in Scuderia Ferrari’s history, the 2004 Hungarian Grand Prix, Ferrari has unveiled a limited-edition 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano Hungaroring Edition.
Only five of these exclusive vehicles will be produced, each paying homage to the scarlet F2004 that secured Ferrari’s sixth consecutive constructors’ world championship.
Ferrari Atelier has meticulously crafted these special edition cars blending the rich history of the F2004 with the cutting-edge technology of the 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano. According to Ferrari, all five units of this special configuration have already found eager Hungarian patrons.
Exterior & Interior Highlights
The unveiling of the first car took place in Budapest, echoing the remarkable parallel of Ferrari’s dominant victory 19 years ago coinciding with the opening of Ferrari’s first dealership in the Hungarian capital by the Lippi family.
The special livery is more than a visual treat; it reflects the car’s racing lineage with the iconic number 1 displayed on the nose, rendered in Bianco King white, replicating the original font from the F2004. The distinctive three-layer metallic red, Rosso F1, and Bianco King detailing further evoke the spirit of the iconic Formula 1 car.
The special Hungaroring edition is based on the 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano. As a result, the exclusive supercar features GT racing-derived Multimatic shock absorbers, a circuit-optimized carbon-fibre high-downforce front splitter and the optional carbon fibre wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres.
The interior boasts Ferrari-badged four-point safety harnesses, bearing the outline of the Hungaroring track and Hungarian flag on both headrests.

The petrol-hybrid 2.9-litre V6 engine mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic remains unchanged for the special edition supercar.
