Facelifted 2018 Mercedes S-Class to debut in April

Mercedes may be keeping a tight lip on when the 2018 Mercedes S-Class is set to drop its camouflage. However, insiders speculate next month all shall be revealed.

Spy photographers have caught a glimpse of the luxurious sedan wearing camouflage covering only the lower halves of the front and rear end.

It’s not just a new face on the way as the 2018 Mercedes S-Class is to play host to a new V6 petrol motor with a 48V electrical system that is expected to perform similarly to the V8 all while delivering better fuel consumption.

That’s not all, Mercedes are also introducing a handful of E-Class technologies to the sophisticated 2018 Mercedes S-Class. This includes two diesel engines, one with four cylinders and one with six.

It’s also expected that the vehicle will benefit from advanced safety, assistance and autonomous features.

Mercedes have two choices of where they can unleash the update; Shanghai or New York. Or they could do one better and showcase the vehicle at both locations.

As this is a facelift on the way, we expect other minor visual changes to not only the vehicles exterior but the interior as well. Don’t expect anything too major regarding features.

The facelift will be present across the sedan range including the upscale Maybach versions. Coupe models are to remain identical to the previous model.
