The engine and gearbox though remain the same. The Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre inline-4 cylinder petrol engine paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic.

The Jimny also comes equipped with Suzuki’s AllGrip 4WD system with brake locking differentials and a low-ratio gearbox.
