During the holy month of Ramadan, Dubai will have split paid parking across the Emirate as announced on Sunday by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). During Iftar, parking will be free throughout Ramadan which is expected to fall on the 6th of May.
Paid parking won’t be the only service to have revised parking during Ramadan.
RTA timings change
As per the RTA, a number of services will have revised timings during the holy month of Ramadan including vehicle testing centres and registration facilities.
During Ramadan, parking across the UAE will be free from 6 pm to 8 pm. From 8 am to 6 pm, paid parking remains and after 8, parking will have to be paid up until midnight.
TECOM is the only part of the city which remains unchanged with paid parking in effect from 8 am to 6 pm.
Multi-storey parking structures will be operational 24/7.
Vehicle Testing Centres
All Tasjeel branches expect Jebal Ali and Hatta will be open from 9 am to 3 pm and 8 pm to 2 am.
Shamil centres will operate in split shifts, from 9 am to 3 pm and 9 pm to 12 am (midnight).
Wasel testing facilities will also run on split shift timing and will be open from 9 am to 5 pm and reopen at 9 pm to 2 am.
Tasjeel Hatta will be open from 9 am to 3 pm. The Jebel Ali branch will close at 5 pm.
Quick Registration Centres will operate from 9 am to 5 pm and will resume operation from 9 pm to 3 am.
Customer Happiness Centres
As per the RTA, all Customer Happiness Centres located in Dubai will operate from 9 am to 5 pm.
Transport services will continue to run on their usual timings apart from marine services.
