Making its global debut back in 2013 with an eye-watering 5,000 horsepower, many in the automotive world thought of the Devel Sixteen as a pipe dream and that it would never see the light of day.
However, last year, those who thought the project would never come to fruition were left in awe as a production-spec version of the hypercar was shown off at the Dubai International Motor Show
To further back the claim that one day we’ll see the model on the streets, this past week, a video of a prototype has surfaced online of the Devel Sixteen accelerating on an empty strip of road near the UAE Desert.
Albeit the video is only six seconds long, a white and blue Devel Sixteen is seen accelerating into the distance, and according to the video description, the model is only using 20% of its throttle. If that is the case, we can’t wait to see how it performs with 100%.
What Devel Sixteen is best for you?
The UAE based hypercar will be offered in three unique guises. The ‘base‘ model will produce 2,000 horsepower thanks to a twin-turbo V8, a 3,000 hp variant, and last but certainly not least, topping the range will be a 12.3-litre V16 rated at a whopping 5,000 hp.
The most powerful version of the Devel Sixteen will be a track only car.
As of writing, only the 2,000 hp model has been given a price tag which is set at a cool $1.6 Million or AED 5.87 Million.
