The dust has settled, the engines have cooled, and yet the excitement still lingers in the air. Custom Show Emirates 2024 has drawn to a close, leaving behind memories of redlining engines, stunning customisations, and a celebration of automotive passion.
From 01 March to 03 March 2024, Expo City Dubai was transformed into a haven for car and bike enthusiasts. Custom Show Emirates claims a staggering 42,581 visitors from near and far attended the 2024 edition over three days. For those who missed out on the action, here’s a recap of what went down.
With 75 exhibitors hailing from 15 countries, the Custom Show Emirates 2024 was a melting pot of automotive creativity and expertise. A total of 325 cars and 120 motorcycles graced the show floor, each one meticulously customized to reflect the vision and passion of its owner. From sleek sports cars to rugged off-road beasts, there was something for every taste and style.
Freestyle Drift & RC Drift Competitions
Custom Show Emirates 2024 hosted competitions across several categories. The thrilling freestyle drifting and stunt shows had audiences on the edge of their seats. Meanwhile, the dedicated remote control car arena provided enthusiasts of all ages with the opportunity to experience the thrill of racing firsthand.
Meanwhile, the RC Drift and Free Style Drift events put the spotlight on precision driving and jaw-dropping maneuvers. 94 participants took part in the freestyle drifting competition, wowing the crowds with their skills. The smell of burning tyre rubber in the air coupled with the almost ear-deafening roar of the redlining engines was just something else.
Recognising Skilled Mechanics & Garages
The Custom Cars Competition and Custom Bikes Competition showcased the finest examples of modified vehicles. The King of Mechanics competition recognized the most skilled and innovative mechanics in the industry.
Participants in the motorcycle category built two Suzuki Hayabusa engines on a stage and finished the motorcycle in front of a live audience. The car chosen for the King of Mechanic competition was the local favourite Nissan Patrol Super Safari and teams competed to become the fastest to build its TB48 engine from the ground up.
Dubai Police, Custom Audio, Campers & RVs & Off-Road Legends
The Dubai Police is known for the fantastic lineup of cars they own, and they brought some to CSE 2024. On display was the Lotus Eletre electric hyper SUV, one of the latest additions to the Dubai Police fleet. In addition, the RAM 1500 TRX was displayed too.
Several cars were on display with a customised audio setup and some of them were quite literally mind-blowing. Simple cars like the Honda Civic, Nissan Xterra, Mitsubishi Lancer, and Ford Mustang were turned into concert venues on wheels with multiple subwoofers, amplifiers, and innumerable speakers.
Those who love the idea of heading out into the desert and camping out were in for a treat. From rooftop tents to full-size 1BHK RVs, lots of camping options were on display at the Custom Show Emirates 2024.
Factory-fresh units of the Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrol & Land Rover Defender from the 70s, 80s, and 90s were on display. Then came the purpose-built, dune-conquering monster Nissan Patrol SUVs with over 1,000hp on tap, riding on paddle tyres. Even accessories suppliers like ARB UAE, Titan Performance, etc, were present at CSE 2024.
American Muscle or JDM? Maybe Some Classic Cars!
Irrespective of whether one’s a muscle car fan, a JDM enthusiast, or a classic car lover, there was something for everyone. Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Chevelle, Ford Mustang, Ford Thunderbird, Dodge Charger, etc, from the 60s and 70s thrilled muscle car fans. There were several noteworthy examples of Classic cars on display. This included the Mercedes-Benz W126 S-Class, BMW Isetta, Cadillac Eldorado, Chevrolet C/20, Toyota Land Cruiser 40-Series, etc. The Sharjah Old Cars Club displayed the Mercedes-Benz 600 among others.
