On top of the readily available LT, LTZ and Z71 packages available for the 2018 Tahoe, Chevrolet has introduced another package that adds an extra dash of sport to the eight-seater.
RST or Rally Sport Package adds subtle changes that are visible to the naked eye and bigger changes underneath its skin.
Regarding the vehicle’s exterior, 2018 Tahoe models with the RST kit benefit from 22-inch alloys, black roof rails, unique badges, gloss black front grille and body-colour grille surround.
Underneath, Chevy has added a Borla sports exhaust system that offers 28% better exhaust flow which results in a 7-10 horsepower increase. Magnetic Ride Control is also included for a smoother ride, plus there are also optional larger Brembo brakes for the front end.
On top of the RST, customers can choose to drop a 6.2-litre V8 in the engine bay as part of the Performance Package that gets the SUV moving. Rated at 420 horsepower and mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox, 2018 Tahoe’s with both packages equipped can accelerate to 100 in just 5.7 seconds.
2018 Tahoe models aren’t the only ones to benefit from the RST package as the 2018 Suburban can also be fitted with the upgrades.
GM haven’t officially mentioned any price for the kit. Seeing as the New York Motor Show is just around the corner, we expect them to drop a price for the RST packages to be applied to both the 2018 Tahoe and Suburban models.
