Changan CS95 unveiled in UAE

UAE’s official distributor of Changan vehicles has lifted the wraps off of the new Changan CS95 during a prestigious event at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai.

Unveiled to the entire world at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China, the Changan CS95 enters the competitive midsized SUV segment currently dominated by the Toyota Fortuner, Kia Sorento and Nissan Pathfinder. With competitive prices, high-quality products and features galore, the Chinese brand aims to be a serious competitor within the UAE.

One can say the model draws inspiration from both the Ford Explorer and Range Rover lineup. However, the Changan CS95 does have its own look complete with bold front grille with large Changan lettering flanked by signature adaptive headlights. The model also receives C-shaped fog lights, exhaust outlets integrated into the rear diffuser and more.

What powers the Changan CS95?

Power comes courtesy of a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine rated at a respectable 233 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque which is connected to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Top speed is just shy of a 200 km/h, and for the eco-conscious out there, the Changan CS95 averages 9.8-litres per 100 km/h.

Customers can choose between three versions of the Changan CS95; Fashion, Platinum or Royal with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Prices start at AED 89,500 to AED 99,000. Changan dealerships can be found in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi.
