After months of traversing the streets and various teases, BMW has officially revealed the BMW X2 with bold and striking features.
Based on the X1 crossover, the BMW X2 sits lower and is shorter and features it’s own styling cues giving off an impression of a larger hatchback instead of a crossover.
Exterior wise, the model sports a unique signature double-kidney front grille flanked by sleek adaptive headlights with LED daytime headlights. Furthermore, the X2 features bold shoulder lines LED rear lights, sloping roofline, raked windshield and BMW logos on both C-pillars.
Owners can complete their vehicle with a range of rim sizes varying from 17 to 20-inches. Lower tier models are complemented with black cladding and a standard rear bumper whereas range-topping X2 M Sport X versions sport Frozen Grey cladding and a sportier rear bumper.
Inside the BMW X2
Base models are equipped with fabric seats, oxide silver, dark trim, gloss black accents and a 6.5-inch infotainment system. Customers can add a variety of options to enhance their BMW X2 experience.
Just to name a few, Dakota leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, LED interior lighting package, heads-up display, larger 8.8-inch upgraded infotainment system and a choice of wood or aluminium trim.
State side, the BMW X2 benefits from a 2.0-litre TwinTurbo Turbo four-cylinder rated at 228 horsepower and 349 Nm of torque, this allows the quirky crossover to launch to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 230 km/h.
