Just a few days ago, BMW confirmed the launch of the facelifted 2-Series lineup and to celebrate, they’ve revealed the new BMW 240i M Performance and it’s quite the package.
Sporting an Alpine White lick of paint, the sporty coupe proudly wears an assortment of carbon fibre and black M Performance parts.
Up front, the vehicle benefits from a two piece black grille, front splitter and extra pieces of bodywork to aid aerodynamics. Then there are the lightweight 19-inch alloy rims adorning each corner with a unique dual-tone finish.
Carbon fibre surrounds the mirrors and side skirts. Around the back, owners are treated to a carbon fibre rear spoiler and rear diffuser with exhaust pipes sticking out either end with their own carbon fibre highlights.
Bolted underneath the bonnet is a straight six-cylinder twin-turbo petrol motor rated at a respectable 335 horsepower. To our surprise, that motor is connected to a six-sped manual transmission as standard. There is an eight-speed automatic box with an all-wheel drive setup.
With all four wheels powered by an auto box, the 240i M Performance launches to 100 in 4.4 seconds and tops out at 250 km/h.
Limited to just 750 units worldwide, 240i M Performance coupes are set to go on sale in July in select regions. BMW have yet to reveal a price tag for the sports derived coupe, we can guarantee it won’t come cheap.
