BMW just won the biggest touring car series category in their native homeland of Germany and to celebrate, they’ve revealed an exclusive M4 limited to just 200 units.
Coated in Alpine White and traditional BMW markings consisting of blue and red stripes. This ultra rare version of the M4 benefits from carbon fibre trim pieces which includes the side skirts, rear wing, mirror caps and front splitter. Carbon reinforced plastic makes up the roof, rear diffuser and bonnet.
Inside, rear seats have been removed in favour for roll cage fitted to the vehicle to improve handling and that race car feel. That doesn’t mean BMW has thrown out all of the standard options like navigation, Bluetooth, media inputs, air conditioning along with numerous safety features such as adaptive headlights, parking sensors, reverse cameras, ABS, traction control and airbags.
Powering the rear wheels is an engine constructed from titanium aided by a water injection system which can also be found in the M4 GTS. With the system equipped, the straight six-cylinder motor can hit a top speed of 305 km/h and from 0-100 km/h in a mind-bending 3.8 seconds, all thanks to the 500 horsepower generated.
In 2014, the German brand also built a set of special M4’s to celebrate Mr Wittman’s first overall championship win the same category.
