Aston Martin’s long-awaited DB11 is already on sale around the world with a V12 motor. Since its confirmation, we’ve heard rumours of a V8 DB11 in the works, and it turns out, it’s heading to China next month.
The V8 DB11’s engine is said to ship with a 4-litre displacement aided by a twin-turbo to generate 530 horsepower. V12 engines measure in with 600 hp and 700 Nm of torque.
The V8 version is not the only model on the horizon for the DB11 family as the quaint British brand has confirmed a Volante version is on the way too.
Volante models will stick with tradition and ship with a soft folding roof. Weighing in heavier than coupe models, the Volante will utilise a 5.2-litre V12 petrol power unit as standard with the new AMG-sourced V8 to join the ranks shortly afterwards.
It’s not just an AMG engine the lineup is set to enjoy. Select AMG parts are known to be making their way inside including the gear selector, various buttons, infotainment system and other interior pieces.
The same V8 motor is also set to be implemented into the next generation of V8 Vantage’s further cementing the partnership with Aston Martin and AMG.
V8 engines could also sneak their way into the recently announced luxury brand Lagonda that is set to launch two models by 2020.
Until the V8 DB11 makes its grand debut along with it’s thirstier V12 model, we’ve got new Aston Martin and used Aston Martin for sale in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
