Remember the beautiful collaboration between Aston Martin and Zagato last year? It certainly took our breath away and they are coming together again to create the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster that is equally if not more desirable. We would be heartbroken if we didn’t see one on Shaikh Zayed Road.
Rumours have the model limited to just 28 units with each one shipping with a convertible roof. While full details remain scarce of the drop top, we expect it to follow in the footsteps of DB AR1 from the early 2000’s where Zagato trimmed down the windshield and a reworked the rear end deck.
Power is drawn from a 6-litre naturally aspirated V12 petrol motor hiding underneath the front end. Driving the rear wheels via an automatic gearbox, one example of the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster is set to cost 1.2 million euros apiece. That’s around AED 4.8 million.
We expect the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster to be officially unveiled either later this year or in 2018. By the time it debuts, we wouldn’t be surprised that when that date comes around each of the 28 models will be accounted for.
Don’t get this beauty mixed up with last year’s unveiling of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante convertible. Those ones may be easier to get your hands on as 99 examples of those exist and can accommodate four occupants instead of just two.
