You may or may not know this, but Aston Martin is looking into the realms of hybrid powertrains and crossovers, and both models are set to launch in the next two to three years after the DB11 and the new Vanquish hit the streets.
The Aston Martin Rapide will be the first in what’s to be potentially many others to be equipped with a hybrid powertrain generating anywhere between 800 to 1000 horsepower! That’s quite the increase over petrol versions as they only produce 600+ horsepower.
With ludicrous power exerting itself out the exhaust pipes, a class of its own has to be created as it could far outperform rivals such as Tesla and stands a few feet higher regarding options.
The second of the two models is the DBX crossover. Shown off as a concept at the 85th Geneva International Motor Show and stunning everyone that walked by is also slated to release before the decade is up.
Aston Martin is banking on the DBX to be a massive hit in the market, which in no doubt it certainly will be. The British manufacturer and its CEO are aiming to sell at least 7,000 units a year.
No price point or solid release date is known at the time of writing, but over the next year or two expect more information to pour out and we’ll fill you in as soon as we know more.
