Over the years several Middle Eastern special edition vehicles have arrived in the region from the likes of Nissan, Ford and others, but we’ve yet to see one from Aston Martin.
That was until recently as Aston Martin MENA has commissioned a bespoke DBS Superleggera with the moniker ‘Arabesque’. Created exclusively for the Middle East, the design pays tribute to Arabian art and design.
With the help of Aston Martin’s Q division, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Arabesque incorporates traditional Middle Eastern design ques elegantly.
The Middle Eastern special edition sports car features bespoke interior and exterior designs and trim modifications. The model uses unique materials including silk and camel hair, as well as a custom inlaid Arabesque patterned carbon fibre through the cabin and roof.
Finished in rich Royal Indigo, the patterned carbon fibre roof, front splitter, diffuser and rear spoiler settle in perfectly with the DBS Superleggera’s lines.
A duotone interior features inside the cabin with Indigo and Coral Sand Bridge of Weir leather. Combined, they deliver a beautiful finish to the interior and is complemented with Arabesque patterns featuring on the seats, headliner and headrests.
The iconic Aston Martin wings are crafted from black enamel. Each one is handcrafted and takes twenty hours to create.
Powering the DBS Superleggera is Aston Martin’s signature 5.2-litre V12 twin-turbo cranking out 715 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. This allows the sports car to reach 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 338 km/h.
The Aston Martin DBS Arabesque won’t be the first and last model to feature such an exquisite design as it will also be introduced to other models, including the DBX.
