Aston Martin CEO to inspect 1,000 DB11’s

Joint ventures are never easy at first and with Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG pairing up to complete the stunning Aston Martin DB11. To make sure everything goes as planned Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin will be on hand to aid the perfection.

But just how will Mr Palmer help out in the process? The first 1,000 DB11 sports cars built will bear an exclusive plaque mounted on top of the engine casing with the CEO’s signature and name. Each of those V12 engines will be manually inspected by him to ensure customers receive the highest quality attainable.

News broke out on Twitter when the CEO himself posted on his private account confirming that it was the real deal.

Every model has 5.2-litre V12 heart powering the rear wheels. 600 horsepower and 700 Nm is channelled through an 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling a 0-100 time of just under four seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h.

As this is the first production car of the joint venture between the Motoring giants, it’s success will heavily impact future Aston products. In our opinion and the eyes of many auto enthusiasts, it’s fair to say they have nothing to worry about the masterpiece which is the 2018 Aston Martin DB11. Next year, the next generation Vanquish will roll out featuring similar features.

And who knows, maybe the first run of vehicles will attain a higher price tag in the used market as they have an alternative signature plaque.
